[ So after hearing it was a certain idiot's birthday, Rin took to last minute preparations. While her heart was in the best of places, her skill in the kitchen was... not. Instant curry packets are everywhere and this is about the third attempt she's made while Archer's at work. Her hair's a mess, her clothing's a mess, everything is a mess and there's burnt cheap curry everywhere.

She's probably crying at this point.

Also she's trying to bake cupcakes at the same time and... well, that could be where everything is falling apart. His poor kitchen. Look what she's done to it. ]

[STEPPING INTO THE HOUSE AND....










...really debating turning back around.

But he doesn't. He kind of just walks in and looks on a bit in awe. Mostly because how can one person make this much of a mess???]

[ It's called she's never tried to actually BAKE before geez. She's trying to clean up the mess with rags nearby, but they're soaked with various liquids. ]

I, I should just give up.

[ She feebly admits to no one. ]

[He can take a pretty good guess but he'd rather her say. Meanwhile, just helping clean up on his end. At this point, he's smart enough to not take stuff from her so he'll let her do her own thing over there.]

[ SHRIEKS and scurries face first into the oven. Fortunately it's shut, but she'll have a nice red mark on her forehead from the impact. ]

I'm glad I came home on time.

[Yep, walking over to lift her up and check that nicely forming bump. Someone has to be a mom around here and it's always going to be him.]

I was supposed to finish this a hour ago and clean everything up before you made it home.

My apologies for that. [Sarcasm, in case she didn't notice.] Now tell me what you were making so you can get cleaned up and I finish whatever it is you were doing.

[If he were any other male in existence, he'd probably start sweating profusely. Because he has just entered a game where the only winning move is to not play. He could tell the truth and she'd cry for being inadequate. He could lie and she'd cry for...being inadequate.

[Where to even start. Old, burnt pots into the sink to soak. Scrubbing down everything while getting a new pan on the stove and heated.

By the time Rin is finishing, he should have something good smelling here.]

Don't worry, she does clean behind her ears. Rin takes her time with her shower mostly due to her own embarrassment. Hard to show her face after all that, but when she does she's a bit more perkier than usual. Her hair is also wrapped up in a towel, but she's dressed nice. FOR ONCE. Like she has... plans. ]

I, I was going to give it to someone. That's why I was trying to bake it for myself.
