Then I've got good news for you. I'm ahead of you when it comes to this.

When you requested a generator, I realized that one safe place to stay won't help you if you're across town. So I'm making three separately with three different people. That way, no one person gets any funny ideas.

Pick two other places and isolate them and I'll get everything else set up.

More importantly, I meant a safe house as an abandoned place we can hide to patch up wounds, catch up on the network, and other things. Having food and supplies stashed somewhere like that would be beneficial in case we have to go into hiding.

But what you're asking is fairly simple to accomplish. I'm going to need glass jars, plastic bags, and a vacuum sealer. For the latter, larger is better. Even things like blankets are best sealed before they're stored.

No one should find it odd that a family of three is purchasing those items. We'll just have to make it look like we're baking a lot more than usual and buying out of season clothing on sale. That way we don't draw suspicion. I doubt anyone just has a surplus of those items about so it'd have to be a registered purchase.

Does it have to be people we trust or people we think would benefit mostly from having a generator?

Oh, it's not going to be theirs at all. I'm taking it once we're done working on it. All they know is that I want their help making a generator. I doubt the people I'm asking will even want to be paid.

I should also inform you that I'm opening a food stall/cooking stand. It's a good enough cover for buying and making large amounts of food. Out of season clothes might be harder to hide unless you ask others to buy things for you.

Stupid, that's what I mean with the vacuum sealer. If people think I'm storing my old clothing to replace with new ones, then they won't question the purchase of one.

Granted that's a costly way to go about it unless you have some reason we can provide it as a public service.

Dry cleaning is a potential cover but most likely useless. I can't see that being anywhere popular enough to justify too much work under the table.

As for the food stall, apparently soon. Athena decided to fund one and make me work at it. If you yell at enough people, we can probably get enough business to make buying far too much food easy to hide.
